One of my favorite cargo bags is the Rightline Gear Sport 2 Rooftop Cargo Bag, # RL100S20. This bag measures 44 inches long x 36 inches wide x 19 inches tall with 15 cubic feet of storage which is a great size for your 2014 Kia Forte. I would not recommend going much larger because it can be difficult to stabilize a cargo bag if it is too big for the roof. Since you have a sunroof we don't really like to recommend resting a roof cargo bag directly on your roof. So instead your best option would be a roof cargo basket attached to your roof rack so that you can attach a bag like the Rightline part # RL100S50 to it.
For a basket you could then use the part # SR9035 which would work well for this application and would give you a much more secure setup than attaching a cargo bag to just crossbars. view full answer...

I would not recommend a cargo bag that rests directly on the roof of a vehicle that has a sunroof like your 2010 Toyota Prius. Especially since you have a solar panel up there as well. You can still use the Rightline Gear Sport Jr. part # RL100S50 but you'll also need to install a roof rack and basket so that it wouldn't rest on your vehicle roof.

Even if you were to use a cargo bag that can install on a naked roof water should not be able to leak into the vehicle. The weather stripping on the inside of the doors should still prevent that from happening. I have not heard of any complaints yet of water getting in. This is because on many vehicles there is weather stripping on the door and on the door frame or body of the vehicle to create the best seal.

I'm going to give you some options. Both of our Cargo Bags will fit in between your horizontal crossbars because they are both under 30" wide so you can place these two bags sideways.
